Margaret A. McConnell, RN, BSN, MA, RFA
Chairperson

Margaret has worked in the Long-Term Care field for over 40 years, serving as a licensed Residential Facility Administrator. Prior to that, Margaret worked as a Registered Nurse and Psychologist for the State of Nevada Mental Health System, both in Northern and Southern Nevada. She is currently an active member of the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) and is nationally recognized for serving as the first Residential Care/Assisted Living Administrator to Chair NAB. Margaret has held several roles on NAB’s Executive Committee, including Treasurer, Chair Elect, and Immediate Past Chair. She has also served as Chair of NAB’s Marketing and Public Relations Committee and as Co-Chair of the Credentialing Commission. Margaret currently volunteers for numerous non-profit organizations in Northern Nevada and is committed to protecting Nevada’s most vulnerable citizens. Margaret has traveled throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico, representing the Long-Term Care Industry.
Lindsey T. Hansen, M.D.
Board Member

Dr. Hansen is a graduate of the UCLA School of Medicine. He is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been in private practice in Las Vegas since 1997. Dr. Hansen joined the Board in 2010 and has more than 27 years’ experience as medical director for both nursing homes and hospice in Las Vegas. Dr. Hansen has been an active member of the American Medical Directors Association and served as their Nevada Delegate for 20 years. Dr. Hansen is currently the Immediate Past Chief of Staff for Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas.
Daniel Mathis
Board Member

Daniel Mathis is a seasoned licensed administrator with more than 35 years of leadership experience in post-acute care facilities across multiple states. He is currently the CEO of PureCare Living LLC managing Silver State Pediatric Skilled Nursing Facility, and Silver State Pediatric Behavioral Services, where he has led the licensing, certification, development, and operation of highly specialized pediatric and behavioral healthcare programs in Nevada. Mr. Mathis holds active licensure as a Nursing Facility Administrator and as a Residential Facility Administrator in Nevada, with prior licensure in Louisiana. He is a Certified Nursing Home Administrator through the American College of Health Care Administrators and has served on the Nevada Board of Examiners for Long Term Care Administrators since 2022. His regulatory and governance experience also includes board service with HealthInsight Nevada and participation on the Veterans Administration Civilian Review Panel. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mathis held senior executive and regional leadership roles overseeing multi-state operations of skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities and hospitals managing portfolios exceeding 800 beds and hundreds of employees. He is widely recognized for driving clinical quality improvement, achieving deficiency-free surveys, restoring distressed facilities, improving census and financial performance, and developing innovative care models for medically and behaviorally complex populations.
Lisa Meyer
Board Member
Lisa began her career in healthcare in 2008 and has gained extensive experience across nearly every role within a skilled nursing facility. This comprehensive operational background supported her advancement into post-acute rehabilitation leadership and her work as a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Lisa graduated Summa Cum Laude from DeVry University with a degree in Health Care Administration. She completed her Administrator-in-Training (AIT) program in Kansas in 2015 and has served as an Administrator in Florida, New Mexico, and currently Las Vegas, Nevada. In June 2020, Lisa earned her Health Services Executive (HSE) license. Lisa brings a strong commitment to regulatory compliance, ethical leadership, and quality outcomes in long-term care. Her multi-state experience provides a broad perspective in supporting regulatory oversight and advancing professional standards within the long-term care continuum.
Rique Robb
Statutory Board Member

With deep roots in Nevada and a longstanding commitment to public service, Rique Robb was appointed Administrator of the Aging and Disability Services Division in June 2025. Since joining the department in 2012, she has provided strategic leadership in the development and implementation of initiatives that strengthen support for individuals with disabilities, aging Nevadans, and their families statewide. She has a proven record of building integrated service delivery models, managing large-scale budgets, navigating legislative processes, and fostering cross-agency collaboration. Rique is recognized for innovative system redesign, and crisis leadership during COVID-19, In 2017, as Deputy Administrator, she oversaw a comprehensive portfolio of programs and services, including Nevada’s Early Intervention Services (NEIS), the Autism Treatment Assistance Program (ATAP), and Planning, Advocacy, and Community (PAC) programs. In this role, she led policy and program development, fostered interagency and community partnerships, and advanced a clear strategic vision to promote advocacy, inclusion, and improved outcomes across the lifespan. In recognition of her leadership and executive expertise, Rique was appointed by the Governor to serve as Interim Director of the Nevada Department of Human Services from November 2025 to January 2026, providing statewide oversight and strategic direction during a period of transition. With more than 35 years of dedicated service, Rique brings extensive institutional knowledge, principled leadership, and a strong commitment to effective communication and collaboration. She is widely respected for her ability to engage diverse stakeholders, align strategic priorities, and lead complex systems in support of Nevada’s most vulnerable populations.
Douglas Sinclair
Board Member

Mr. Sinclair has been actively involved in Elder Care as a licensed Residential Facility Administrator (RFA) since 1995. He is also active in the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards, known as NAB. Douglas served over 25 years with NAB as an “item writer” composing questions to be included in the National NAB Administrator Exam. Additionally, he served three 2-year terms as Chair of the RCAL Exam Committee for NAB. Douglas believes in giving back to the community and that our elders should be honored with quality care and respect while preserving their dignity.
Brooke Westlake
Board Member

Ms. Westlake holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Reno. She is the founder of the Women in Cannabis Expo. She currently works in a leadership position for a global nonprofit. Prior to launching her company and working in nonprofit, Brooke worked in healthcare for 20 years. She also served two terms on the Nevada Commission for Women until she termed out. She helped bring the following issues forefront that included gender disparity, equality and women's suffrage and campaigned to increase the number of women in leadership. She has run for public office and has written a memoir. She is dedicated to her community through connection, inspiration and learning.
Jennifer Van Curen
Executive Director

Jennifer is a native Nevadan and provides strategic leadership and operational oversight in support of the Board’s mission to protect the public and uphold professional standards within long-term care administration. In this role, Jennifer oversees board governance, regulatory compliance, and licensing operations ensuring alignment with Nevada statutes and administrative code. She is known for navigating complex regulatory environments with clarity, professionalism, and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach. Jennifer is widely recognized for her strong communication skills, steady leadership style, and commitment to transparency, accountability, and service—qualities that guide her work in supporting both the Board and the licensees it serves. Her career spans hospitality, financial services, and mortgage lending, giving her a well-rounded, solutions-oriented approach to business development and problem solving. In addition to her professional career, Jennifer is engaged in community service and nonprofit leadership. She previously served as Board President for the Center for Adaptive Riding and has held board and volunteer roles with organizations such as the American Businesswomen’s Association. Her board experience includes fundraising strategy, donor engagement, event coordination, and serving as a liaison between stakeholders to ensure mission alignment and positive public representation. Known for her professionalism, warmth, and collaborative spirit, Jennifer brings both strategic insight and genuine passion to every organization she supports.
